The one thing that I have realized about a lot of sparkling wines is that they really don't have much flavor; that is the sparkling wines not made out of something different than Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. I left Pinot Noir out of this, because Pinot Noir gives you Blanc de Noirs, and if you've been reading my articles, you know that Chardonnay is actually a hybrid of Pinot Noir.

I go out of my way to look for Blanc de Noirs, wanting something a little bit more fruity and chewy. This wine does not disappoint. Sinking my teeth into it, I can actually taste both strawberry and raspberry, and while the dosage is probably no where near a demi-sec, it still has a good amount of sweetness to it.

This wine is a winner, and would be great for throwing in either blackberries or raspberries, letting them sit, and serving them to your significant other.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
